“We are Vanessa Hollander and Wilson Philippe. We met about 3 years ago at the park swinging and here we are now! I (Vanessa) was born in Minnesota and Wilson was born in France. We now both live on a small island off the coast of Miami. I am 17 years old and Wilson’s 18. We got each other our first film cameras for our birthdays, and have been addicted ever since!
We aspire to continue photography and hopefully pursue film together. We make a great team together, so the dream is traveling and photographing all the corners of the world. Photographing for clothing companies and some of our favorite bands, such as The Strokes, is also something we constantly dream about together.
One of our adventures so far was a trip to Mongolia, an amazing experience that very few people have, especially at our age, so we are extremely grateful. It was such a beautiful country with such vast landscapes and the sweetest people. It’s a very unique place with an interesting culture concealed from many countries around the world. I barely knew anything about Mongolia before we went. Even though is hard to believe, most nomadic Mongolians own very few photos of themselves, so we decided to give each nomad we met along the way an instant photo they could add to their small collection of photographs.”
